BHARTI SINGH

Bharti Singh is a contemporary Indian artist whose journey reflects a profound engagement with nature and spirituality. An art postgraduate from Meerut University, she held her first solo exhibition at AIFACS, New Delhi in 1983. Since then, she has presented over forty solo and group shows in India and abroad, while also participating in workshops, camps, and fundraisers that connect her practice with wider communities.

Married at a young age into a family of wildlife enthusiasts, Singh’s true artistic education began through direct contact with the natural world. Her early works focused on animals in their natural environment, rendered with sensitivity and realism. Over time, her art underwent a dramatic transformation. From depictions of wildlife, she moved toward exploring the relationship between animals, birds, and the Divine, creating canvases that merge ecological awareness with spiritual reflection.

Her solo exhibitions include Brush with the Wild (1983), Freedom (1997), Species of Special Concern (2000), An Odessa on Canvas (2001), Animals, Birds and the Divine (2008), and The Blue Magician (2010, 2012). She has also participated in group shows in Bangalore, Singapore, London, Chennai, and New Delhi.

Living and working in New Delhi, Bharti Singh continues to narrate her evolving beliefs through art—bridging nature, divinity, and the inner voice in a dialogue that inspires reflection and wonder.
