SWAPNIL

Swapnil Anil Waghmare, an artist from Belgaum, Karnataka, is a graduate of JN Bhandari School of Arts, where he completed his Government Diploma in Fine Art (GD Art). His practice spans a wide range of mediums, yet he is particularly drawn to the expressive possibilities of linocut printmaking. Working with sun board — a softer surface that allows for intricate detail and structure — Swapnil brings precision and depth to his prints, showcasing both technical mastery and creative vision.

Beyond printmaking, his artistic repertoire includes canvas painting, watercolor, abstract compositions, and wall art. In each medium, Swapnil strives to push his creative boundaries, channeling his full potential into works that balance craftsmanship with imagination. His approach reflects a commitment to versatility, experimentation, and the pursuit of new forms of expression.

Through his diverse body of work, Swapnil demonstrates a passion for exploring both traditional and contemporary techniques. His art embodies a dedication to detail and a willingness to innovate, positioning him as a dynamic voice in the evolving landscape of Indian contemporary art.
